personal learning project

Learning Goal

I can create an original digital media product to exhibit individual skills and interests.

Introduction

For this last project, think about what you are interested in and learn more about it.

Make list of your current skills and interests. Focus on the statement:

“If I could choose what to learn for myself, I would learn about...”

1. Identify a Topic

Find a topic you're interested in, determine what you want to learn, and what product you can create to demonstrate your learning. Consider:

   1. What do I want to learn? Where can I learn it?

   2. What digital media product can I create to exhibit my learning?

2. Research and Document

Start researching what you want to learn. Read books and articles. Watch videos. Listen to podcasts. Talk to people. Document what you find in a journal, on a Word/Google doc.

3. Create and Share

Create a digital media product to exhibit what you learned. The product can take many different forms -- video, podcast, digital poster, slides, webpage.

Requirements:

  • Title

  • Project Explanation (Rationale and Process) Frame your issue into a question, problem statement or objective.

  • Digital Media (Photos/Video/Sound recording/Webpage/Infographic)

  • Citations that include materials, resources, sources of data

  • Reflection on the outcomes of your learning

  • Record your work in your portfolio
