The album cover is an art form that gives designers the chance to translate the sound and feel of music into the visual realm. View the examples below and then move to Practice and find a few examples of your own.
2
Practice
Create a collage of at least four album covers. For each, include: image, title, artist, your observations of elements of design (line, shape, form, image, typography) on the cover and why you chose the album. When you're done, submit your collage on Schoology and move to Create.
3
Create
Design an original cover for an album you know, or one that does not yet exist. Use your own photos or images from pixabay and pexels, the inspiration you've gathered in your album cover collage, and your knowledge of the elements of design.
Open Photoshop/Photopea to create an original design. Create three or four different designs and then choose one of your best to submit. Refer to Album Cover Project for concepts to consider and rubric.
